Are you the Central Parts Specialist who will help us bring our part data management and processes to the next level? We’re looking for a proactive and curious colleague with technical affinity and a passion for data to set up our Central Part Management (CPM) team.

THE POSITION

As Central Parts Specialist, you’ll play a key role in managing and improving our part data within IFS. You’ll be at the centre of the CPM team, contributing to the development of standardised processes and ensuring consistent, high-quality part data across the organisation.

YOUR IMPACT

Your work directly influences the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our operational processes. By ensuring clean and well-structured part data, you enable better decision-making, reduce operational risk, and support our ambition to further professionalise central part management.
You’ll be part of a growing domain within Van Oord, contributing to a long-term vision and helping to shape the future of our tooling, processes, and data governance.

In this role you will:

  • Handle requests for new parts and part changes
  • Maintain and improve part data in IFS
  • Help shape and optimise CPM processes as we move through the rollout of IFS
  • Help grow and lead the CPM team
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and help turn them into practical solutions
  • Collaborate closely with projects, procurement, and logistics to ensure alignment and smooth data flows

ABOUT YOU

You are curious, organised, and process-driven. You enjoy working with data and understand how structure and quality contribute to operational excellence. Working with different departments energises you, and you’re not afraid to take the initiative.

You have:

  • HBO level of thinking
  • Technical affinity and an interest in parts data
  • A mindset focused on process optimisation and improvement
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude
  • Strong attention to detail

WE OFFER

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience
  • Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.40 per day)
  • 32 holidays (of which a maximum of 7 are collective)
  • Variable bonus, partly dependent on company results
  • Attractive pension scheme
  • Option for collective health insurance (Van Oord pays for your supplementary package)
  • Extensive development opportunities, including a comprehensive online academy via Goodhabitz
  • Communities to join, such as Young Van Oord, Van Oord Women, and the Van Oord staff association
  • Various events and sports activities, such as skiing, sailing weekends, cycling, and motorcycling
