Are you ready to take the next step in your product development career?

In this role as Product Manager Data & Analytics, you will be responsible for a wide portfolio of data products linked to the employee journey, building insights on people and organization with your team, and thinking ahead to prepare KLM for its future challenges.

What will you do?

As a Product Manager, you will drive the development and enhancement of digital products that optimize business processes and contribute to KLM’s success. You define a clear product strategy and roadmap, prioritize work for your team, monitor product performance based on data and KPIs, and closely collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs and opportunities into tangible solutions.

In this specific role, you will manage a unique portfolio of products used by a multiplicity of KLM employees, managers and HR professionals. This means working with a diverse group of stakeholders and a wide range of products — from experimenting with AI to phasing out legacy systems. You will directly contribute to KLM’s Data & AI strategy by building with your team innovative data tools to provide insights on our organization, enabling data-driven decision making across KLM. Some examples include the creation of dashboards to provide insights on future sourcing strategy, experimenting with AI agents to create efficiencies, enabling HR colleagues in their day-to-day responsibilities, and migrating important tooling to new systems to support a future-proof way of working.

Additionally, you will:

  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize work in line with strategic goals;
  • Monitor progress and performance of your team and provide ongoing feedback;
  • Align continuously with stakeholders to build support and a shared vision;
  • Support users in adopting new products and improved processes;
  • Manage your team’s budget and safeguard the business cases;
  • Take responsibility for shaping the entire portfolio of the department, across the teams;
  • Actively contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Where do you land?

You’ll become part of the Data & Technology Business Platform “People Technology & Intelligence”. Our platform is responsible for the entire digital employee experience — from recruitment to offboarding. Our products support all KLM employees, with a special focus on our colleagues in HR, to help them work efficiently and effectively.

Our goal is to continuously improve our products and develop new, innovative solutions. In this environment, you will collaborate closely with other product teams, the Director of Product, and various stakeholders inside and outside of HR. As Product Manager, you’ll also be a member of the Leadership Team, where you work together with other team leads to drive department-wide goals and improvements.

Your profile

You are a strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality, and you know how to bring others along with your vision. You move effortlessly between operational details and strategic goals, always keeping the interests of your stakeholders and team in mind. You also bring:

  • Product development: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex digital products;
  • Eagerness for impact: You focus on real impact, not just shipping features;
  • Strategic thinking: You’re motivated to contribute to business strategy and translate it into a strong product portfolio and roadmap;
  • Stakeholder management: You collaborate easily with a variety of stakeholders and are skilled at aligning interests and building support;
  • Innovation: You’re able to spot emerging technologies and translate them into process optimizations;
  • Result-oriented mindset: You work purposefully and efficiently toward concrete outcomes and take ownership — even when not everything is within your control;
  • Communication: You communicate comfortably and effectively at all levels of the organization and with external parties;
  • Inspiration: You inspire both your team and stakeholders with your forward-thinking vision and ideas;
  • Data-Driven: You’re confident using data and KPIs to support decision-making and are committed to fostering a data-driven culture within PT&I and HR.
  • Affinity with HR: You’re genuinely interested in the field of HR and motivated to help shape the data-driven practices and products. Direct professional experience in HR is a plus but not required.

In addition:

  • You have solid knowledge of agile product management principles;
  • You have at least 4 years of experience in a comparable role;
  • You operate at an academic working and thinking level;
  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Dutch is preferred but not required.
