Hungry for a challenge?

At Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET), we are a leading global online convenience marketplace. Our tech ecosystem connects millions of active customers with hundreds of thousands of connected partners in countries across the globe. We have abundant opportunity or as we say, everything is on the table.

Our vision is to empower everyday convenience around the world, whether it’s through customer service, coding or couriers.

All about the role

Our role in the insight function is to act as internal business consultant to a range of stakeholders, from teams within marketing, especially strategy and brand, to logistics, sales, product and operations, customer services, and beyond. Your role will be challenging and varied.

You'll help us to understand and explore the appetite for new services and business initiatives across the globe. As well as takeaways, this will extend to Grocery and the new opportunities within retail (such as health and beauty, flowers, DIY, consumer electronics, alcohol, gifting, etc). As you become an insights expert within the business, you'll be supporting stakeholders (both internal and external) on a wide variety of initiatives.

To support our work, Just Eat Takeaway.com invests heavily in market research. This includes tracking surveys for long-term measurement, communities of consumers for quick responses, post-order surveys, ad-hoc projects on strategic priorities, discovery work on emerging trends, and customer closeness, to raise our understanding of the lives of consumers, partners, and couriers.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Manage the day-to-day needs of three communities, providing swift but insightful answers to business questions and priorities. Two of these will be newly set up.
  • Manage relationships with research suppliers, both full service and fieldwork only agencies.
  • Proactively work with the rest of the insight function and internal clients to identify critical insight gaps and develop research projects to fill them.
  • Use our extensive database of consumer conversations to find the perfect clip to encapsulate a wider truth about their behaviour or belief.
  • Support global marketing functions with consumer insights to support their relationships with current and potential commercial partners.
  • Support our grocery and courier tracking surveys with ad-hoc analyses.
  • Produce ad hoc analysis from internal data sources to help answer business questions from stakeholders across the business.
  • Independently run analysis across a range of data sources available to the Insights Team, especially through SPSS / Crosstabulation manipulation. We are increasingly using AI to facilitate these tasks.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Proven experience working in a market research role, either research agency side or client side, ideally working directly on qualitative or quantitative projects.
  • Evidence of working on large projects involving multiple stakeholders from different parts of a business.
  • With many research tasks being taken up by AI, the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholder networks is increasingly important.
  • Experience setting up and analysing data from quantitative surveys, crafting questionnaires/writing surveys, and report writing with clear summaries and recommendations.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced business, likes to think on their feet and is curious about the challenge of converting consumer insights into business opportunities.
  • Experience with using third party data sources (e.g., Statista, Euromonitor, GWI) a plus.

At JET, this is on the menu:

Our teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.

Fun, fast-paced and supportive, the JET culture is about movement, growth and about celebrating every aspect of our JETers. Thanks to them we stay one step ahead of the competition.
