In this new role, you’ll bring safety, quality and sustainability into every link of our supply chain. By working closely with suppliers and subcontractors, you’ll help drive real progress — not by policing, but by improving together.

The Position

The QHSE Coordinator Supply Chain Management is a new role that will develop within the QHSE Offshore Energy (OFE) team and will focus on strengthening the cooperation with our suppliers and subcontractors, from a QHSE perspective.

Your Impact

You will be supporting the optimization and development of assessment, auditing and risk management processes related to supplier and subcontractor performance, as well as identifying and implementing improvement agendas meant to enhance their QHSE and overall performance. You can expect to:

  • Implement Van Oord Management System as far as supply chain management is concerned (e.g. the following processes: pre-qualification, procurement, audits, continual improvement, along with the translation of our Company standards into practice).
  • Carry out inspections/audits, produce detailed reports and maintain records.
  • Identify key points of improvement and develop, together with the team and allocated supplier(s), follow-up and improvement plans, along with monitoring the performance.

Your Workplace

You will be based in the Gorinchem office full time, with frequent business trips (duration max. 1 week, frequency approx. once every 5 weeks) for inspections, audits, coaching events.

You will be part of a team of 4 colleagues, reporting directly to the QHSE Manager OFE, and working in close cooperation with Supply Chain, Operations and many other departments.

About You

Our ideal candidate is motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about QHSE, a team player who is flexible and willing to travel and who:

  • Has a minimum 3 years experience in a site coordination role (involved in both project preparation and execution), as part of QHSE, operational or supply chain departments.
  • Has extensive experience in planning and executing audits across industries.
  • Has the ability to communicate in a positive, engaging manner.
  • Is able to focus on cooperation and the overall goals of the (long term) collaboration.

Advantage: understanding of contractual requirements and their impact on the project result

We Offer

A dynamic work environment, with many interesting and challenging responsibilities related to supply chain management from a QHSE perspective, which offers flexibility and opportunities to develop existing or desired skills.

We offer a complete package with excellent secondary employment benefits. The package includes among other things:

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience;
  • 32 leave days of which a max. of 7 days can be appointed as collective leave days;
  • Pension scheme;
  • Variable bonus;
  • Extensive learning and (personal) development possibilities;
  • Travel allowance;
  • Flexible working hours.
