team lead groups & meetings EU - PM shift

The team leader groups & meetings is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of groups & meeting business for all citizenM hotels, with a focus on the US hotels. As a team leader, you will be the main point of contact for all groups & meetings team members during the PM shift. You are responsible for supervising and motivating the groups & meetings team on a daily basis, acting proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration with hotel operations, sales, and demand. In addition, you will be responsible for target revenues, pricing negotiations, planning and implementation of sales activities, and acquisition of group and meeting business. Ultimately, you will lead by setting a good example, showing a positive approach to problem solving, and engaging the team to achieve KPIs and goals.

This role will be working on the PM shift, from 14:00 to 22:00.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, including task division and prioritization, and contribute to daily operations by working alongside Groups & Meetings Specialists and Coordinators.
• Support and stimulate a proactive sales approach while managing at least one region as a specialist.
• Organize sales meetings, delegate responsibilities, and assist team members in achieving goals through regular reflection.
• Coach team members on challenging client interactions.
• Strengthen the relationship between hotels and the sales team to support Groups and Meetings clients.
• Oversee Strategic Account Plans for all accounts.
• Maintain strategic relationships with industry organizations (Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Chambers of Commerce, etc.).
• Support the development of Groups & Meetings rate strategy in conjunction with the Demand/Revenue Team.
• Ensure the team properly utilizes all systems and tools.
• Keep informed on real estate and hotel markets in relevant markets.
• Provide insights to support the budgeting process for the upcoming year.
• Work with the Corporate Sales team to share leads and insights.

Qualifications / Skills

• In-depth knowledge of groups & meetings business, with a commercial focus.
• Data-driven approach: be curious, ask the right questions, and use data for understanding, evaluating, and deciding.
• Strong decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Relevant work experience in a similar position.
