Great opportunity for someone looking for a 1st or 2nd step in their career! We are looking for a Supply Chain Engineer who will be responsible for developing and implementing state-of-the-art Supply Chain solutions within the Spare Parts Planning department of Canon Production Printing.

What you’ll do

As a Supply Chain Engineer at Canon Production Printing, you will analyze current logistics processes and make them more effective and efficient. You are at the heart of the organization and ensure that both long-term and short-term objectives are met. With your strong analytical and organizational skills, you are able to timely identify bottlenecks, deploy the right colleagues, devise solutions, and implement them.

In this role, you will have extensive contact with colleagues from the departments Supply Chain Management Machines, Purchasing, Production, R&D, Service, as well as with external suppliers.

An example

One of our suppliers of spare parts has a disruption in the supply chain which endangers the availability of service parts for our service technicians and thus the up-time of our printers at the end customers. Together with your colleague from procurement, you will investigate what is going on and what the impact will be for the global supply chain. You will define crash actions to secure the supply of the service parts. Once resolved, you will also look at how to improve this supply chain structurally, depending on the life cycle phase of this product. When the service demand decreases, you will work with the logistics planners to optimize stocks and improve processes where needed.

Who you’ll work with

You will become part of a team of 14 people who can't wait for you to start. Together, we are responsible for the setup and optimal Supply Chain planning of spare parts for our printers. The team consists of both Supply Chain planners and Supply Chain engineers, each with their own part responsibility but with the same objective: good delivery reliability for our customers at the lowest possible cost and optimal inventory levels.

What you bring

  • You are an analytically strong, proactive team player who easily makes connections and is able to convince others.
  • You always keep an overview in your work and strive for the best result.
  • You stay up to date with developments in the constantly changing Supply Chain market.
  • Completed Bachelor or Master education in the direction of Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • If you have a Bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years of experience in inventory control, production planning, logistics projects, or supply chain optimization is required.
  • If you have a Master’s degree, you may also be an ambitious starter.
  • You are looking for an international organization with complex logistics challenges and an environment where you will be challenged to realize logistics solutions.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Excel and SAP.
  • Knowledge of Business Warehouse is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

What you get from us

  • A competitive salary (range €3.800-€5.400 gross per month)
  • 38 vacation days
  • Extra 13th month pay (8.6%), holiday allowance (8%), and commuting allowance
  • Hybrid working for a healthy work-life balance
  • A huge range of training and professional development opportunities
  • A laptop and smartphone
  • An interesting lease (e-)bike plan
