Internship - Facilities and Safety Management (Onsite)

Do you love supporting day-to-day facilities activities and contributing to safety initiatives? Are you a proactive, enthusiastic person with great communication skills and a passion for Facility or Safety Management? Join our multi-cultural and highly engaged team as our new Facilities and Safety Management Intern in our Hoofddorp (DPA) office starting February/March 2026.

In this internship, you will be part of the Danone Place Amsterdam (DPA) Facilities team. Our purpose is to create a safe, efficient, and engaging workplace for all employees. During this internship, you will collaborate with the Facilities and HSE teams, supporting a variety of initiatives. Your main responsibilities include:

• Review and improve Facilities work processes and systems setup
• Support Emergency Response Team coordination (BHV) and internal Safety training sessions
• Lead internal communications: create visuals, collate learning materials, and prepare presentations
• Coordinate events in the DPA office, including risk assessments and co-organise the 2026 Safety Day
• Manage reporting processes and document retention systems

About you

As a Facilities and Safety Management intern, proactivity and enthusiasm will be second nature to you. You can work independently and as part of a team and have strong communication skills. You’re a self-starter who enjoys bringing new ideas to life, is comfortable in an international environment, and is always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

There are also some compulsory requirements:

• Enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student in Facility Management, Safety Management, or a related field during the whole internship period.
• You are a resident of the Netherlands and hold a valid BSN number (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to have a valid Dutch residency permit)
• Ideally available to start in February/March 2026 for a minimum of 5/6 months, 4/5 days per week.
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written), Advanced level in Dutch.
• You are able to work from our Hoofddorp (DPA) office at least 4 days per week.
