Patagonia is an outdoor apparel company founded in 1973. At a time when all life on earth is under threat of extinction, we aim to use the resources we have—our business, our investments, our voice and our imagination—to influence changes needed to protect our planet. A registered B Corporation and founding member of 1% for the Planet, Patagonia is recognised internationally for its commitment to product quality and environmental activism, contributing over $145 million in grants and in-kind donations to thousands of grassroots environmental groups around the world.

Your role:

We’re in business to save our home planet. The eCommerce Onsite Merchandiser ensures that products are visually and strategically presented on eu.patagonia.com to support commercial goals and reflect brand priorities. By curating assortments, optimizing category pages, and coordinating campaign execution, the role contributes to a seamless and engaging customer experience. It uses data insights and cross-functional collaboration to continuously refine onsite merchandising and drive performance.

Main tasks:

  • Site Merchandising. Own the visual presentation of products on eu.patagonia.com, including hero product selection, feature colors, and product placement on category pages. Ensure alignment with trade performance, brand priorities, and seasonal direction.
  • Campaign Execution. Plan and implement merchandising elements of seasonal campaigns in collaboration with Digital Marketing and Content teams. Shape the onsite customer journey to ensure consistency, engagement, and alignment with campaign goals.
  • Performance Monitoring. Track and report on merchandising KPIs weekly and seasonally, using data insights to inform decisions and optimize product visibility. Translate performance trends into actionable recommendations to improve conversion and engagement.
  • Content Optimization. Ensure product pages include relevant and informative content such as size guides, technical specs, and buying guides. Identify and resolve content gaps to enhance the customer experience and support purchase decisions.
  • Site Accuracy & Testing. Conduct regular site walks and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure merchandising accuracy and functionality. React quickly to in-season changes and propose improvements to enhance site execution.

What we’re looking for:

  • An inclusive mindset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in eCommerce merchandising, onsite analytics, or relevant areas
  • Full understanding of onsite merchandising principles, enabling the creation of visually engaging and commercially effective product assortments across category pages and campaigns, using platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Bloomreach or similar. Knowledge and experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a must
  • Good analytical capability, applied in tracking product and category performance, interpreting weekly trading data, and making data-informed adjustments to improve site engagement and conversion.
  • Good understanding of campaign calendar execution, used to coordinate seasonal merchandising tasks and align priorities with marketing and content teams for cohesive customer journeys.
  • Knowledge and experience with CMS and merchandising tools, enabling efficient implementation of daily product and visual updates, and ensuring accuracy across the site.
  • Proactive problem-solving, particularly in identifying layout, categorization, or product visibility issues and resolving them swiftly within established guidelines.
  • A love of the outdoors
  • An interest in saving our home planet and making a positive impact through your work

Other important details:

  • This is a Full-time position based in Amsterdam
  • We have a hybrid work model, working from home for maximum 3 days per week
  • Our interviews include standardised questions that focus on the aspects that are important for success in the role. For this role there will be also a practical assignment where you can showcase your skills
