Welcome to our team

With around 250 employees, our Biological Research team discovers and develops innovative vaccines and biopharmaceuticals for a wide variety of animals worldwide. The Operations & Facilities (O&F) team plays a vital role in enabling R&D progress. You will join O&F, where we foster a positive, results-oriented team culture. The O&F team comprises roughly 30 colleagues who work daily to ensure R&D operates efficiently, compliantly, and safely. The GLP team within O&F includes three GLP Coordinators.

About the position

As a GLP Coordinator, you ensure that our R&D department operates according to GxP standards and protocols. You are an approachable knowledge bearer who supports R&D colleagues by coordinating operational GLP tasks. You enjoy sharing your expertise through training and instructions and introducing new colleagues to GLP within our R&D department. You also regularly conduct departmental inspections and participate in internal and external GLP audits. This is a versatile role in which you contribute to a GxP-compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of contact for all GxP and quality matters within the R&D department.
  • Provide hands-on support, coordinate, and monitor GLP activities within the laboratory.
  • Translate and implement GLP and quality standards and protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Represent the department in interactions with R&D Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Coordinate, support, and lead GLP-related improvement projects and initiate process optimizations.
  • Provide GLP training and onboarding for new employees.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections, report findings, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Manage GLP documentation, including SOPs, audit observations, and reports.
  • Write, revise, and review SOPs and general procedures; advise colleagues in drafting SOPs.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Biotechnology, Chemistry).
  • A minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in a quality-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory environment, maintenance practices, and quality assurance standards.
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to prioritize and maintain an overview.
  • Strong perseverance and influencing skills.
  • A positive attitude toward change, flexibility, a solution-oriented mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Currently living within a reasonable commuting distance of Boxmeer, as the job requires on-site presence.
