Be part of progress: Join ASML’s Electronics Development Team in Veldhoven

Introduction

Help shape the future of precision technology by joining ASML’s Electronics Development team in Veldhoven. Our mission is to design and optimize analog circuits that drive high-performance piezoelectric systems in advanced lithography machines. In this internship, you will support the development of high-voltage, low-noise amplifier solutions tailored for piezo applications. Your work will contribute to reducing machine cost and complexity while improving reliability and scalability. Ready to gain hands-on experience and make an impact? Read on.

Your assignment

As an intern, you will assist in the design, testing, and optimization of analog circuits for piezo amplifier systems. Under the mentorship of senior engineers, you will work on schematic design, simulation, prototyping, and lab validation. You will also learn how to apply safety practices when working with high-voltage electronics.

  • Design and simulate analog circuits for piezo amplifier applications.
  • Support schematic capture and PCB layout reviews.
  • Prototype and validate amplifier designs in the lab.
  • Conduct measurements and characterize performance (gain, bandwidth, noise, linearity).
  • Assist with debugging and troubleshooting of analog circuits and test setups.
  • Document test procedures, results, and design iterations clearly.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and software teams to align with system-level requirements.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are a bachelor’s student in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Have an interest in analog electronics and circuit design.
  • Are familiar with lab equipment and measurement techniques.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.
  • Are proactive and collaborative in a team environment.

This is a bachelor thesis internship for a minimum of 6 months, requiring at least 5 days per week (5 days on-site). The start date of this internship is February 2nd, 2026.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
