Mars Food & Nutrition is on a mission to nourish families and inspire healthier living—one delicious meal at a time. To support this ambition, we’re looking for a Commercial Operations Specialist Europe who thrives on driving operational excellence, strengthening supplier partnerships, and enabling resilient, future-ready supply chains.

If you’re energized by solving complex problems, collaborating across functions, and turning processes into performance—this is your moment to join a purpose-driven business where your impact goes far beyond the job.

Your Purpose

As our Commercial Operations Specialist, you’ll be the connecting force between suppliers, internal teams, and strategic priorities across Europe. You’ll bring clarity, structure, and momentum to commercial operations while championing value leadership and digital transformation.

This role is key to delivering on our ambition to build robust supply chains, create high-quality partnerships, and push for continuous improvement—every single day.

What are your key responsibilities?

Strengthen Category Partnerships & Supplier Management

  • Plan and run impactful supplier touchpoints (including QBRs) that drive alignment with our strategic sourcing models.
  • Coordinate internal supplier onboarding, specification approvals, and trials, collaborating closely with R&D, Quality, and Sourcing.
  • Manage sample shipments and ensure smooth delivery to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of risks—such as shelf life or continuity challenges—through proactive communication and problem-solving.

Lead Projects & Elevate Processes

  • Own key supply chain resilience and value leadership projects from planning through execution.
  • Manage SAP contracts and ensure harmonized reporting for accurate contract balancing.
  • Drive process automation, clear documentation, and high-quality data that fuel smarter decisions.

Champion Supply Chain Operations

  • Lead local site supply chain meetings with a focus on COMOS problem-solving and operational due diligence.
  • Monitor inbound flows, shipping documentation, and supplier payments to keep everything running like clockwork.
  • Align and execute SLAs together with sourcing counterparts.

Grow Talent & Build a Learning Culture

  • Facilitate engaging learning moments and process improvement sessions for the team.
  • Ensure completion of key trainings and foster a mindset of continuous learning and curiosity across the organization.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in supplier management and commercial operations.
  • Proven project management capabilities—organized, structured, and results-oriented.
  • A process-driven mindset with an eye for automation, simplification, and data quality.
  • Solid digital literacy (SAP, Power BI, Smartsheet or similar tools).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative spirit—someone who builds bridges, not silos.
  • Resilience, agility, and the ability to navigate change with confidence.
  • A commitment to personal growth and helping others grow, too.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
  • A strong focus on learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.
  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
