You see opportunities over challenges and work with passion and purpose. Together, we’ll invest in you to develop your skills and experience, because we believe that what you value is more important than what your CV says.

You will spend 6 months working at IKEA Social Entrepreneurship, learning how we support social enterprises to create a more inclusive and equal society. With a global scope, international team, and partners, this is a great opportunity for cross-cultural learning. By focusing on inclusion, equality, and livelihood, we enable a better everyday life for people who struggle to provide for themselves and their families. Our work is a collaboration between us, civil society organisations, and social entrepreneurs. You will learn different ways to support the success of social enterprises through programme management, coordination, and research. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the IKEA business, how it operates, and how it’s organized.

IKEA Social Entrepreneurship is placed at the intersection of business and philanthropy. You’ll have the unique opportunity to explore and develop a wide range of project management skills from collaboration and stakeholder management, problem solving, strategizing, reporting, research, and monitoring, evaluation and learning.

During your time with us, you can expect to:

  • Support with overall programme management including planning, coordination of activities and communications. This may include programme specific support and/or support across different programmes.
  • Support in the work of mapping of potential (new) markets and sectors, and stakeholders and potential partners and research on programme relevant topics and themes including social context analysis, different business and impact models of social enterprises, deep dive into thematic areas such as circularity or others.
  • Participate in team meetings as well as programme and partner meetings and potentially other relevant forums.
  • Provide administrative support for the team and programmes (i.e. notetaking, file management, reporting, presentations etc).

In addition, you’ll support with other research and analysis related tasks and activities which can address specific questions around one programme or address issues across multiple programmes.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Able to multi-task and manage several programmes and processes at the same time
  • Able to structure, organize and prioritize
  • (Looking for) experience of effective and inclusive project/programme management
  • Has a learning mindset and is not afraid to ask questions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sensitive to and understanding different cultural perspectives
  • Collaborative approach, works well with others to develop and implement solutions
  • Although native English language is not required, an excellent command of the English language, speaking, reading and writing is required.

This internship is for a period of 6 months, 40 hours per week, starting as per February 2026. The compensation for this fulltime internship is EUR 500 a month.
