Purpose of Role

As Assistant HRBP, you’ll support HR operations across Belgium and the Netherlands. This role plays a key role in delivering HR support to the business and ensuring HR delivery is fully aligned to business goals in their area of business, with a focus on employee experience, performance management, culture and more. You’ll work closely with the Benelux HR Lead, line managers, and central HR teams to deliver day-to-day HR support and help drive key people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant HR Business Partner ensures the execution of HR activities being aligned with global direction and strategy.

  • HR Operations: Support recruitment, onboarding, contract management, and HR system updates (Workday).

  • Employee Relations: Assist with case handling, absence management, and compliance with Belgian and Dutch labor laws.

  • Performance & Development: Coordinate performance reviews, learning plans, and talent processes.

  • Data & Reporting: Maintain HR data, analyze trends, and support decision-making with insights.

  • Stakeholder Support: Act as first point of contact for employees and managers, providing support across HR topics.

  • Project Support: Contribute to HR projects such as engagement, well-being, and organizational changes.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Experience in HR, ideally with some experience in Belgium and/or Netherlands
  • Working knowledge of Belgian and Dutch labor law and HR practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with trust & confidence.
  • Good knowledge of key HR processes, roles and responsibilities
  • Comfortable with HR systems (Workday, PowerBI, UniPulse etc) and managing, analysing HR data and building insights and a point of view from that data
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset with attention to detail, eager to learn and share new ideas
  • Willing to travel between Brussels & Amsterdam as needed
