The role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented FSQA Coordinator to join our FSQA team in Amsterdam. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional with 1–2 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related area who wants to grow within a dynamic, international ready-to-eat (RTE) food business.

In this role, you will support the FSQA function in managing supplier and product quality performance, driving food safety compliance, and coordinating improvement initiatives across our network. You will work closely with site teams, suppliers, and cross-functional departments to ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of food safety and quality.

What you’ll do

  • Complaint management: Manage food safety–related customer complaints. Support local teams in complaint investigations and root cause analyses (RCA). Review and follow up on the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Identify complaint trends and propose improvements to prevent recurrence.

  • Non-conformance management: Define, maintain, and continuously improve the non-conformance management process. Coordinate the management of supplier non-conformities, consolidating data from local teams. Act as the main point of contact for suppliers during investigations, reviewing and approving proposed corrective actions. Track and verify the implementation and effectiveness of preventive actions.

  • FSQA projects: Support FSQA projects by gathering and analyzing data, conducting research, and preparing reports or presentations. Liaise with internal subject matter experts and external partners to implement best practices. Assist in the rollout of new FSQA tools, systems, and standards.

  • Cross-functional support: Collaborate with Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain teams on food safety and quality–related topics. Provide FSQA input for new product launches and process changes.

  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance food safety and quality systems, documentation, and communication flows. Challenge existing processes and contribute to developing more efficient and proactive FSQA practices. Participate in FSQA reviews and support the implementation of digital or data-driven quality management initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • Background knowledge in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience of food safety and/or quality, preferably within the food/feed industry.
  • Experience in complaint handling, CAPA, or supplier quality management is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work cross functionally and across cultures.
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Dutch and/or German will be considered a plus.

What we offer

  • Freedom to initiate, execute and implement your own ideas
  • Lots of learning and development opportunities
  • 24 holidays based on 40 hours per week per year, pro rata
  • A hybrid work setup - with roughly 2 days in our Amsterdam office
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses to the office
  • Discount on your ClassPass subscription, and a discount for your gym membership via Bedrijfsfitness Nederland
  • Discount on your additional health insurance through Zilveren Kruis
  • A discount on your weekly, Factor, HelloFresh and/or Green Chef box in the Netherlands
  • Healthy lunches, fruit and snacks in the office
  • Competitive salary and pension scheme
  • Social activities with our culturally diverse team! 😊
