The work

As a master student joining the Service team at Accenture Song, you’ll explore how next-generation technologies — such as Agentic AI — are transforming the way organizations design and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You’ll work alongside Management Consultants, designers, technologists, and strategists to help clients reimagine their customer-facing services and products. You’ll gain hands-on consulting experience while having the opportunity to write your thesis on a topic that drives real impact.

Team The Service Group focuses on the Customer Service domain — the front line of how companies connect with their customers. Our 15 consultants combine strategy, design, and technology to help global organizations deliver seamless, personalized, and intelligent service experiences. We are especially exploring how AI can revolutionize customer interactions, streamline service operations, and unlock new business models.

Daily Tasks As an intern within the Service Team, your job consists of two main aspects: Writing your thesis on a topic within the field of Customer Service or Experience, and gaining experience as a consultant. The following can be expected:

• Conducting research on digital transformation, AI in service, and customer experience innovation.
• Exploring how AI can enhance customer journeys, e.g., through intelligent assistants, predictive service, or hyper-personalization.
• Writing and presenting your findings to our internal teams and clients.
• Participating in real project work with consultants and designers from Accenture Song.

You can define your own thesis topic within the service domain, but examples include:

• Intelligent Service Transformation: How AI-driven automation can improve customer operations while maintaining empathy and trust.
• Data-driven Personalization: Leveraging AI insights to tailor digital and human touchpoints.
• Customer Platforms: Designing integrated, adaptive platforms for omnichannel engagement.

Research You can define your own thesis topic within the service domain, examples include:

• The AI Promise: How can companies materialize the productivity gain of service agents?
• AI in Customer Experience: How can companies use large language models to deliver human-like, efficient customer interactions?
• Intelligent Service Transformation: How AI-driven automation can improve customer operations while maintaining empathy and trust.
• Data-driven Personalization: Leveraging AI insights to tailor digital and human touchpoints.
• Customer Platforms: Designing integrated, adaptive platforms for omnichannel engagement.

We also welcome your own creative thesis ideas related to the intersection of AI, digital experience, and service design — several previous interns have already completed theses in collaboration with clients and Accenture Consultants.

Song Talent Factory (STF) As part of your internship, you will also take part in Song Talent Factory. This program will be leading you through your path at Accenture Song and will provide additional engagements/activities/projects to enhance your intern experience. Being part of the Song Talent Factory, you will:

• Get professional guidance on finding the next step in your career;
• Get expert support on your thesis topic while leveraging all Accenture resources;
• Be part of one Song program where you are required to collaborate with other interns at Accenture Song from our different offerings (Commerce, Design & Digital Product Creation, Marketing and Customer Service);
• Work on a large internship long consulting project together with your STF group. This will allow you to not just get a glimpse of one of the four capabilities, but you will really get to see everything Accenture Song has to offer;
• Be part of the Accenture Song community through companywide and intern specific engagement events;
• Enjoy the wide variety of training opportunities.
