Join Our Team as an In-House Photographer
The In-House Photographer plays a key role in delivering high quality, accurate, and visually appealing imagery that supports the packaging design, e-commerce listings, and marketing efforts across all product categories. This includes everything from electronics and beauty tools to pet accessories, hobby and travel gear. The role is responsible for executing full scale photo production internally, from shoot planning and styling to post production and final delivery.
As part of the Design Studio, the Photographer ensures that all visuals are brand-aligned, technically precise, and optimized for their intended use, whether that’s printed packaging, online shops, or internal presentations. This role requires strong collaboration with Designers, Project Managers, Traffic and the Studio Operations Lead to ensure smooth workflows, consistent visual output, and minimal revision rounds.
Key Focus:
- Capture high quality, brand consistent product and lifestyle imagery across our broad non-food retail portfolio, including electronics, pet accessories, beauty tools, luggage, and more.
- Support the creation of packaging and e-commerce visuals that clearly communicate product features and appeal to a global customer base.
- Plan, shoot, and edit photography in-house with efficiency and minimal need for external support.
- Maintain an organized and scalable photo asset library to serve both creative and commercial needs.
Responsibilities:
- Review product briefs and packaging concepts with Designers and Project Managers to define shot angles, scale references, and background requirements.
- Schedule and conduct in-house product photography for e-commerce, packaging layouts, and marketing use.
- Occasionally support internal lifestyle and model shoots, including creative planning and styling coordination.
- Ensure consistent lighting, composition, and color treatment across product categories.
- Perform culling, retouching, cropping, and color correction to meet both digital and print standards.
- Deliver ready-to-use images for packaging templates, web stores, and buyer decks.
- Export multiple file types per spec (hi-res print, web-optimized, layered files, etc.) and upload using agreed folder structures.
- Organize image files using consistent naming, tagging, and version control to allow for efficient access by Designers and Marketing.
- Maintain all studio photography equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting kits, backgrounds, etc.) and flag for replacement when needed.
- Create and update internal visual libraries for seasonal launches and product categories.
- Coordinate with Traffic for scheduling, resourcing, and prioritizing requests.
Job Requirements:
- Understands the visual nuances required for packaging, including scale reference, white background clipping, and shadow work.
- Familiarity with retail packaging photography conventions and how to highlight product functionality visually.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Orbitvu or similar, and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proactively communicates shoot timelines and upload status in Monday.com and during daily check-ins.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and production-ready photo studio space.
- Occasionally available for model shoots or on-location product photography when required.
