Commercial Finance Manager (GTN Controller – PPD)

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Finance Manager to join our PPD team. This role is responsible for managing the Gross-to-Net brand and customer P&Ls for two of our leading brands and retailers. It is pivotal in driving financial performance through insightful analysis, robust forecasting, and proactive partnership across the commercial and brand teams. You will play an important role in optimizing our top customer P&Ls and ensuring financial transparency across the supported brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Own the GTN financial reporting process for Actuals, Budgets, and Trends, providing comprehensive insights to support the brand and commercial controller in key decision-making.
  • Commercial Forecasting: Lead the development and submission of commercial forecasts for Budgets and Trends within our Compass system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Trade Fuel Management (GTN): Partner directly with Commercial Key Account Directors to manage trade spend and promotional activities via BPM platform.
  • Risk & Opportunity Identification: Act as a liaison between Commercial and Brand Finance by proactively identifying risks and opportunities against the latest forecasts.
  • Customer P&L Ownership: Take ownership of the customer P&L for two of the division's top retailers, providing in-depth analysis & performance tracking.
  • Ad-hoc Support & Financial Modeling: Assist with ad-hoc tasks and financial models to support future growth initiatives and strategic projects within the division.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in commercial finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or a similar role, ideally within the FMCG or beauty industry.
  • Strong understanding of P&L dynamics, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Compass, SAP, Anaplan) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive financial performance.
