Hi, we are Samotics

At Samotics, we help many of the world’s largest industrial companies to prevent unplanned downtime and optimize their operations. Our AI-driven technology monitors the condition and efficiency of critical rotating equipment to prevent failures before they happen.

As we continue expanding globally, we are looking for a Product Manager to play a key role in shaping our next generation of industrial monitoring solutions.

The role

As Product Manager, you will bridge the gap between commercial strategy and product execution. You will own the product development initiatives—defining what we build, for whom, why, and with what priority—and ensure we deliver the highest value to our customers and partners.

You will work closely with global industrial customers and OEMs providers in electrification, energy, and heavy-industry sectors to identify new product-market opportunities for our SAM4 solution. This role combines strategic thinking, customer insight, and cross-functional collaboration with our engineering and data science teams.

Your challenge 🎯

  • Maximize the value our products deliver to customers and partners.
  • Conduct market and user research to uncover new needs, validate assumptions, and monitor industry trends.
  • Co-create the product strategy within your domain in collaboration with the Head of Product.
  • Translate vision into actionable product plans and clear requirements for our development teams.
  • Prioritize initiatives in the product backlog to focus on the highest-value work.
  • Lead R&D collaboration with global industrial OEMs and technology providers.
  • Identify, define, and prioritize both functional and non-functional enhancements to existing integrated products.
  • Plan and execute product launches, pilot programs, and feedback cycles.
  • Support commercial and marketing teams with go-to-market and adoption strategies.
  • Validate customer impact achieved through product improvements.
  • Travel occasionally to visit customers, partners, and industrial sites.

What you’ll bring ⭐

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product management within a technology or industrial setting.
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into actionable product priorities.
  • Strong technical understanding of IoT, industrial automation, or AI-powered products.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, across technical and commercial teams.
  • Experience collaborating with customers and partners (e.g. OEMs) on joint product initiatives.
  • Fluent in English (our company language).

Qualifications desired:

  • Advanced degree in electrical engineering, data science, or software engineering.
  • Experience with subscription-based B2B products.
  • Familiarity with electrical motors, variable frequency drives, or data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with working in a scale-up environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.

What we offer 🚀

  • Make a positive environmental impact by reducing energy waste, preventing pollution and eliminating unplanned downtime.
  • Vibrant and professional company culture based on freedom and responsibility.
  • Competitive salary, holidays, and benefits package (pension scheme, parental leave...).
  • Hybrid and onsite working opportunities.
  • Company events: from pub quizzes to chess tournaments and wine tastings, there's always something fun happening at our company.
  • Enrolment in our Stock Appreciation Rights (SAR) scheme, allowing you to benefit from a potential exit event.
  • In line with our mission, our office is made with 90% recycled material at a three-minute walk from Leiden Central train station.
