ABOUT THE JOB

  • Lead the M+A strategy process, ensuring consistency in strategy development and implementation across functions and regions.
  • Work closely with top-level executives to evaluate and adapt strategic direction, aligning initiatives with both regional and global goals.
  • Guide TUI's approach to acquisitions, divestitures, and market entry opportunities.
  • Drive the development and support implementation of new products and services through cross-functional oversight.
  • Design and execute a robust innovation and incubation roadmap, promoting breakthrough ideas, business models, and technologies.
  • Act as a key driver in TUI's transformation agenda, aligning cross-functional initiatives with strategic priorities.
  • Establish a consistent reporting cadence with the C-suite and board, ensuring transparent, data-driven assessments.
  • Foster a culture of creativity to maintain a competitive edge and meet evolving customer needs.

  • Strategic Visionary: Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive business development strategies aligned with TUI's overarching goals.

  • In-depth Industry and Marketplace Knowledge: Deep understanding of the aviation and travel industries, with the ability to analyse market dynamics and emerging trends as well as deep understanding of Marketplace business economics.

  • Innovative Mindset: Proven track record of fostering innovation and driving change within organisations.

  • Global Perspective: Demonstrated ability to operate with a global mindset, understanding diverse regional market dynamics and cultural nuances.

  • M+A Expertise: Strong expertise in mergers and acquisitions, including governance, portfolio prioritisation, and integration.

  • Customer-Centric and Partner Approach: Deep commitment to understanding customer needs and preferences to inform business strategies as well as understanding economics within leveraging Partner Verticals for scalable growth approaches for marketplaces.
