Join the Group Accounting, Consolidation and Reporting (“GACR”) Team

In this role, you will be part of the Group Accounting, Consolidation and Reporting (“GACR”) team which is responsible for consolidation and financial reporting of Versuni, including annual, quarterly, and monthly financial reporting. The team is based in Amsterdam and consists of 7 people. As an international team, GACR also leads significant projects within Versuni, such as finance improvement initiatives. The Technical Accounting Manager is a key member of the GACR team, responsible for technical accounting topics. In this role, you will provide guidance on complex accounting issues, ensure compliance with IFRS reporting requirements, and support business decisions with high-quality accounting insights. This position is pivotal in safeguarding the integrity of financial reporting and supporting the company’s growth strategy.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Act as the subject matter expert on IFRS and CSRD, providing technical accounting guidance across the Group.
  • Lead the analysis, documentation, and implementation of new accounting standards and changes in regulations, including evolving CSRD/ESRS requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting position papers for management and auditors.
  • Own and continuously improve the documentation and knowledge sharing of Versuni’s Accounting Framework.
  • Partner with business units, treasury, tax, supply chain, and legal teams to assess the accounting implications of complex transactions.
  • Oversee the preparation of disclosures for the annual report and interim financial statements.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulators on complex accounting and sustainability reporting matters.
  • Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions to the wider finance community on IFRS, CSRD, and best practices.
  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, driving process improvements and digitalization in reporting and compliance.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Qualified accountant (RA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in technical accounting, preferably in a Big 4 audit firm and/or a listed multinational.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Proven track record of handling complex accounting topics (e.g., share-based payments, revenue recognition, financial instruments).
  • Experience working with senior management and external auditors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international, and multicultural environment.
  • Strong team player and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
