About the job

The Product Manager – ESG will be responsible for driving the roadmap, designing, marketing, and reviewing the development of the Enablon ESG software products, including their positioning and packaging. This role requires knowledge of software development processes (such as Kanban, Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework), current ESG industry challenges and trends, approaches to management and execution of ESG programs, best practices, continuous improvement and innovation, and product management best practices to ensure the Product team efficiently identifies, prioritizes, specifies, and delivers product improvements that meet market needs.

The role involves working with a development team on software release management, including short- and long-term software roadmap and requirement specification development, product marketing, pre- and post-sales enablement and support, technical analysis, application design, and configuration management. You will interact with clients, prospects, partners, business users, solutions engineering teams, professional services, program managers, and software developers, and be responsible for maximizing the revenue generated from the product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy
    • Evangelize the ESG solution, own, manage, and be the point of contact for vision and roadmap
    • Research and analyze market trends and problems within the risk management space
    • Filter and validate market opportunities by leveraging Enablon’s unique ability to address them
    • Conduct customer interviews, user groups, partner reviews, prototyping, and piloting to refine problem definition
    • Define and size market segments or contribute to research on market size
    • Conduct win/loss and competitor analysis
    • Position ESG applications for target market and buyer profiles
    • Propose strategic product investments to address market needs and increase profitability, while balancing resources and collaborating with Product Managers across the platform
    • Define problems, user personas, and articulate use cases
  • Software Product Design
    • Create software requirements and stories for the development team
    • Plan and monitor software deliverables, goals, and milestones to contribute to objectives
    • Confirm software delivered matches requirements
    • Manage all timeline changes and issues with stakeholders
  • Marketing & Sales Support
    • Create compelling product marketing collateral that addresses market problems, industry trends, common RFP and presales requirements, or new technologies
    • Create relevant launch material for both internal stakeholders (Presales, Services, Sales, Support) and business buyers and users at the customer
    • Support the Sales and Customer Success channels with market, technical, and product expertise, including key presales product demos, sandbox trials, customer success and account management reviews, and product launch webinars
    • Attend and speak at regional/virtual conferences and other industry events

Requirements

  • Ability to build rapport with senior-level stakeholders, buyers, and management at the prospect/customer, with the capability to respectfully challenge ideas and negotiate solutions that address a full market opportunity

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, IT, or Business Risk preferred. Master’s degree in any of these areas is desirable.

Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in B2B enterprise product management (Product Manager or Product Owner) OR 3-5 years’ experience in ESG management
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English
  • Experience in developing or implementing ESG/Sustainability and/or Environmental software solutions at large enterprises
  • Business analysis for software implementations, software development, or other technology environments
  • Presales and presentation experience in a software sales environment
