The holder of this job drives programs in the Social domain of ESG Sustainability with a focus on community engagement programs: be a valued partner in our communities. Collaboration with other Social focus areas is part of the job, including creating an attractive workplace for all, fostering an innovation ecosystem, and ensuring a responsible supply chain.

Role and responsibilities

You will join the Society & Community Engagement department and report to the Global Head of Attractive & Community Engagement. Your main focus will be managing the program Neighbors Relations. In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement the Neighbors Relation strategy for internal and external stakeholders, including the communication protocol, recurring communication, and milestone events.
  • Connect with different parts of ASML to ensure all elements are managed as one program driving our agenda.
  • Define and implement structural improvements with all stakeholders for current and new Neighbor Relations projects, building the collaboration needed to deliver the strategy.
  • Create insight into the process and progress of the agenda.
  • Pro-actively contribute to Society & Community Engagement as a whole and its deployment within ASML.
  • Be the owner of existing and new partnerships and projects in the field of Neighbor Relations.

Education and experience

  • Master’s degree, preferably with a consultancy or business background.
  • 8+ years of experience in project and program management with a proven track record of leading in complex environments.
  • Good understanding and experience in a multinational organization.
  • Preferably experience with Neighbor Relations, including building relationships with direct and indirect neighbors in the Brainport region, communication with neighbors (participation projects, newsletters, website, organizing formal and informal meetings), and working with municipalities and other official or governmental institutions.
  • Experience in change management and communication needs of transformation projects.
  • Preferably experience with ESG in a complex environment.

  • Strong analytical skills (creating and maintaining dashboards, surveys, reporting, and translating reports to a plan).
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is a must.
  • Creativity: understand and identify the essence and boundaries of the creative process; select ideas, improve, and make ready for execution in line with the ASML brand (purpose, vision, mission).
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills: deal with complexity and information processing; regularly go through ‘What if’ scenarios.
  • Focus on delivering value and tangible business outcomes: draft a plan and come up with ideas to make it work; recognize objectives behind plans; identify desired results; understand value-added work and act accordingly, seeking advice from manager when unsure.
  • Stakeholder management: be sensitive to the needs of a variety of different stakeholders and have the ability to independently set priorities.
