In this inspiring learning environment, you will facilitate student learning by undertaking teaching activities and supervising and coaching students both individually and in projects. As a lecturer, you will make an important contribution to educational innovation within the context of competency-based learning.

Our Team

You will become part of an enthusiastic team of 200 international professionals (academic and administrative), collectively responsible for educating over 2,500 students from both Europe and the rest of the world. IB has an international intake and a global reach. It offers an International Business bachelor programme, comprising the differentiations Marketing, Commerce, Supply Chain and Organization and Change. There is room for personal development and innovation. You won’t be working alone—collaboration is key. You will work closely with colleagues and can always turn to your manager for support and guidance.

Are you who we are looking for?

In order to carry out the duties effectively, the person appointed is required to have the following skills and experience:

• a master degree in the subject required or in a closely related field;
• (preferably) able to teach a broad range of International business subjects such as Finance and Economics;
• a proven track record in supply chain management;
• established teaching and coaching skills;
• (preferably) previous work experience with an international focus;
• a good understanding of current educational views, methods and techniques;
• the ability to integrate research-based and relevant current developments in the professional field into your teaching, thus pushing forward the boundaries of new knowledge;
• the ability to contribute to the development of the curriculum and parts of the educational programme;
• the ability to create a stimulating learning environment for the student;
• a flexible, and result-oriented attitude;
• a student-oriented attitude and intercultural sensitivity;
• English language skills at least on CAE level or other relevant programme;
• excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and a good team worker;
• a demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development;
• knowledge of and affinity with ICT.

What do we offer you?

• A fixed term contract (D4) with the possibility of extension.
• The salary range is HBO-CAO grade 11 (€ 4.535,76 minimum and € 6.359,47 maximum per month) for full-time employment, exclusive of 8% holiday pay and 8.3% end-of-year bonus.

International Business is part of the Rotterdam Business School and is located at the Kralingse Zoom campus in Rotterdam. This location is easily accessible by both car and public transport.
