Your Job

As part of the Value Proposition Team (VPT), your focus will be on optimizing change implementations within the Financial Risk Grid. You’ll be responsible for translating complex Finance and Risk (regulatory) requirements into actionable proposals, enabling various change teams to implement them effectively.

The Financial Risk Grid supports a broad range of Finance and Risk processes, making it a dynamic and stimulating environment. Together, we aim to redefine the way we work—creating a more agile, efficient, and forward-looking organization.

As a Credit Risk Consultant, you’ll lead large, complex implementation projects that impact the entire credit value chain. Your work will focus on key Financial Risk processes and systems, such as:

  • IRB model implementation
  • Credit Risk RWA (Risk-Weighted Assets) calculation
  • Economic Capital calculation
  • IFRS 9 provision calculation
  • Stress Testing processes and related calculators

Working Environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Roadmap Creation:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to develop comprehensive roadmaps.
    • Translate regulatory and business requirements into concrete implementation plans, considering the evolving IT landscape.
  • Tactical and Strategic Alignment & Decision-Making:
    • Facilitate senior management decision-making processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
    • Represent projects in steering committees and foster alignment across business units, reporting teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Solution Design & Delivery:
    • Design innovative solutions for complex, cross-value chain changes.
    • Act as the critical link between solution design and implementation, offering guidance and resolving queries from various grids and programs.

Through your contributions, you’ll help create a future-ready Finance and Risk landscape, enhancing ABN AMRO’s ability to meet stakeholder and regulatory demands. Depending on the assignment, your role may range from general project coordination to deep specialization in specific areas.

Your Profile

You are an experienced professional with a proven record in Credit Risk, change management, and navigating complex change environments. You are proactive, collaborative, and results-driven, with an agile mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in relevant roles, preferably within large financial institutions or consulting firms. Demonstrated success in managing complex projects is essential.
  • Education: A university degree or equivalent professional experience.

Skills:

  • Credit Risk Expertise: A deep understanding of Credit Risk and Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR).
  • Change Management: Significant experience in complex change environments, with the ability to translate strategic plans into efficient delivery.
  • Analytical Thinking: A sharp analytical mindset, with proficiency in tools like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to engage, activate, and manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organizational Awareness: A strong sensitivity to organizational dynamics and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaboration: A team player with the ability to work independently when required.
