Your impact at MUFG

The Working Student joining our Corporate Communications EU team will be responsible for supporting the creation and delivery of corporate communications relating to the strategic priorities of MUFG in the EU.

Function positioning

The role will bring you to the centre of our business in the EU region, while also working closely with the Europe, Middle-East and Africa Corporate Communications, Brand & Digital team in the UK. You will report to the Head of Corporate Communications for the EU. The role is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The role includes the following:

  • Support the delivery of corporate communications for MUFG in the EU across the full communications mix.
  • Create impactful content in line with MUFG’s purpose, strategy, culture and branding for various channels including the intranet, EU-wide emails and narrowcasting.
  • Support event management for online and in-person events including town halls for colleagues.
  • Support day-to-day activities, administration and ad-hoc request for the communications, including maintenance of the EU Communications planner and measuring the impact of communication.
  • Work closely with the EMEA Corporate Communications team in the UK, stakeholders across the EU, as well as suppliers.
  • Display risk practices and behaviours in line with MUFG’s risk culture.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Skills and experience:

  • Be a full time student with strong interest in or affinity with corporate communications in the financial services sector.
  • The role requires basic knowledge of and experience in working with a variety of communication channels and formats for content creation.
  • A hands-on self-starter with a creative and innovative mindset.
  • A strong focus on the customer / target audience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Great organisation and project management skills with an eye for detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn and quickly adapt to change.
  • Collaborative mind-set and relationship building skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful and enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to work with a broad variety of people from different cultures and disciplines, both internally and externally.
