Join Solarplaza as a Marketing Data Analyst

Solarplaza is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst (24 to 40 hours per week)

Please note that we require candidates who are already living in the Netherlands and who have a valid working permit.

Are you structured, analytical, and motivated by turning data into clear business insights? At Solarplaza, we are a small but ambitious team dedicated to accelerating the global renewable energy transition. Through our international events, we share knowledge and provide networking opportunities to professionals in the renewable energy industry. If you thrive on working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams, we want to hear from you.

About Us

At Solarplaza, we organize high-quality international B2B summits where industry leaders come together to exchange knowledge and build partnerships in renewable energy. We are a small team of 40+ people from 15+ countries, working from our headquarters in Rotterdam. We are driven by a shared mission to help accelerate the transition to renewable energy, and we achieve this by facilitating meaningful connections and sharing insights at our events.

Your Mission

As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will build and maintain a reliable marketing data foundation that drives growth in paid tickets, sponsor pipeline, and event margin. You will connect data across systems, create dashboards, forecast results, and support both the marketing and business development teams with insights and lead generation.

You’ll play a key role in improving how we measure, forecast, and optimize our marketing performance — ensuring that every campaign, event, and budget decision is guided by trustworthy data.

You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Team Lead, the Business Development team, and other departments to turn data into actionable insights that drive growth and efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, structured, and comfortable taking ownership of complex data environments. You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving dashboards, forecasting models, and CRM setups — all with the goal of helping teams make better decisions, faster.

Key Traits:

  • Analytical & Structured: You are precise and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to spot trends and errors.

  • Pragmatic & Results-Oriented: You simplify where needed and focus on what drives impact.

  • Curious & Tech-Minded: You enjoy solving data puzzles and learning new tools.

  • Collaborative: You communicate clearly and support cross-functional teams.

  • Flexible: You adapt quickly in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

KPIs You Will Be Measured By

  • Data quality and accuracy across systems

  • Timely delivery of dashboards and reports

  • Forecasts that support planning and decision-making

  • Improved conversion rates and marketing efficiency

  • Support for business development through lead insights

What You Bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in a data, CRM, marketing ops, or business operations role

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (admin-level) and Pardot (Account Engagement)

  • Strong skills in building dashboards (Tableau, Google Sheets, or similar)

  • Solid understanding of digital marketing data (Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads)

  • Ability to create forecasts and interpret performance trends

  • Familiarity with SQL or other data modeling tools is a plus

  • Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and automation tools (Zapier, Make.com) is a bonus

  • A curious, proactive mindset with the drive to improve systems and processes

What We Offer

  • An initial contract of 7 months for 24 to 40 hours per week, with the possibility of contract extension based on performance

  • You will become part of our mission: positively impact the world by accelerating the renewable energy transition

  • 28 days of paid leave per full working year (based on full-time employment)

  • 20 days per year to work remotely after 6 months of employment (pro rata to working hours)

  • A hybrid work policy (50% home / 50% office after your third month), working in the office 3 days a week if you have a 5-day work week

  • A good pension scheme

  • Travel expense compensation, either via an NS-Business Card or a mileage allowance (for distances between 10 km and 50 km one way)

  • A budget for personal development and wellbeing

  • Frequent borrels and team activities

Note: Acquisition related to this vacancy from recruitment companies is not appreciated.
