The biggest challenge
Completing the transition to a next-generation customer interaction data platform while planning for its AI-powered future. You will take ownership of the highly impactful implementation and migration stages, ensuring alignment, momentum, and success. But the real challenge will materialize after launch: crafting and driving a long-term vision that introduces AI solutions to improve platform usability and unlock self-improving capabilities. How do you balance immediate platform delivery pressures with the strategic opportunity to revolutionize how we understand and align with customer behavior? As the AI revolution reshapes shopping, how can our interaction strategy guard against malicious bot actors while leveraging beneficial bots to enhance the customer experience?
What you'll do as the Senior Data Product Manager in the Shop Insights team
As the guardian of bol’s single source of truth for customer interaction data, you will oversee a complex data pipeline designed to process data flawlessly at scale and with impeccable governance standards. Rigorously created tracking plans across all channels collect events from the entire customer journey and deliver them to our data infrastructure partner, which enforces data quality and compliancy at the source.
You will manage the Shop Insights Platform that either streams raw events via Pub/Sub for real-time use cases or ingests them into our batch pipeline—running on our GCP BigQuery environment—for cleaning, transformation, enrichment, and bot activity identification. Those curated events will be, then, exposed for both operational and analytical purposes.
Because the customer interaction data drives informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and cost reduction across bol, you will bring a blend of technical depth, analytical thinking, and communication excellence to bridge engineering and business needs. Your role combines product management fundamentals—roadmap planning, prioritization, and stakeholder empathy—with managing daily operations, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and close collaboration with engineering and data teams.
