We are currently looking for an Operations Controller to join us at our location in Hardenberg, Netherlands. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

About the Role

In the challenging position of Operations Controller, you will be a part of a high-quality Business Unit team located in several countries and will report to the Western Europe operational controller. The Operations Controller is responsible for monitoring the performance of the production and logistic departments in Hardenberg (Nederland).

What You'll Do

  • Financial business partner and challenger for the site managers and logistic managers.
  • Month end closing activities production related, including forecast
  • Actively support big projects related to production from controlling perspective
  • Prepare and analyze direct and indirect cost reports and discuss these reports with the responsible business partners and Multi plant leaders.
  • Monitor and analyze operational KPI's.
  • Monitor and maintain incoming freight and external freight tariffs.
  • Prepare annual direct/indirect cost budget and cost allocation file.
  • Prepare capital expenditure projects and monitor the execution.
  • Capex management
  • Monitor monthly cost price runs and informs sales regarding cost price changes.
  • Manage master data creation for new material for costing.
  • Monitor and analyze cost price relevant master data
  • Contribute to SOX internal control Contribute to local or regional improvement projects
  • Support global harmonizing processes within operational controlling.

What You'll Bring

  • A Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in controlling or similar role
  • Experience in the production environment.
  • Dutch native speaker - Fluency in English.
  • Analytical skills with an interest in the detail.
  • Strong organizing and problem-solving skills.
  • Continuously striving for improvements.
  • Strong customer-centric focus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across cultures and functions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excel knowledge is mandatory
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3, and SAP BO is a plus.
