Risk Manager

Are you a Risk Engineer and do you want to be a key person in FrieslandCampina’s risk management? Do you want to grow as a risk and insurance professional?

As a Risk Engineer/Consultant you will be part of Corporate Insurance and will be responsible for providing technical risk management advice for more than 50 manufacturing locations worldwide. You will be the technical intermediary between FrieslandCampina and insurance companies. Also, you will support the Corporate Insurance Manager in managing the global insurance programs and claims.

What we ask

• Bachelor or Master engineering degree
• 2-8 years’ experience as a risk engineer or risk consultant within a multinational company or insurance company.
• Experience or affinity with risk & insurance management
• Strong relational, communication and consultancy skills
• Ability to communicate with people on all levels within the company.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, combined with a highly proactive approach
• Advanced English language skills
• Willingness to travel globally (2-4 trips per year)

• Full-time workweek of 38 hours, Competitive salary, 5% year-end bonus, 10% performance bonus, and a market-compel pension scheme;
• Our way of working is hybrid and flexible, this function is expected to work closely and visit production locations across the Netherlands;
• 200 hours of annual leave, the option to buy or sell 40 extra hours, and 8% holiday allowance;

Vacancy description

Main Responsibilities:

1. Risk Engineering & Consultancy:

• Assess and mitigate company risks related to fire, explosion, machinery breakdown and natural hazards
• Managing the company’s property risk management framework (‘Production@Risk’), e.g. planning of risk engineering activities, updating audit manuals & scoring techniques and applying risk management software.
• Loss prevention specialist in projects such as plant extensions or new facilities.
• Execute insurance audits and follow-up meetings at business locations worldwide.
• Coordinate insurance audits at business locations conducted by insurance companies.
• Report on audit/survey results and other insurance KPIs.
• Provide technical advice on loss prevention to plant/SHE managers and project managers.
• Support local (SHE) managers to perform self-assessments.

2. Support the Corporate Insurance Manager in management of global insurance programs and claims. Depending on your experience and personal development goals, you will:

• Maintain and develop relationships with brokers and underwriters
• Conduct/support policy renewals
• Conduct/support claims handling and claims management
• Conduct/support financial administration (e.g. accounting) of the Corporate Insurance department
• Conduct/support internal reporting to senior management
• Support the business with various insurance topics
