LUC The Hague seeks to appoint a lecturer (docent) to join the LUC staff for teaching primarily in its International Justice major and the first-year programme. The starting date is December 2025.
What you will do
The lecturer should show clear affinity with the ‘Global Challenges’ focus of our programme, which is also linked to the profile of The Hague as ‘International City of Peace and Justice’. They should have a degree reflecting academic knowledge in the domain of international justice, with a focus on ‘statehood and integration’ (constitutional law, EU law, foreign relations law, etc.). In addition, they should also have some experience with societal engagement in these domains. LUC The Hague is Leiden University’s international honours college, which champions small-scale intensive teaching. Hence, strong commitment to teaching excellence is essential.
