Welcome to our team

Our Benelux commercial organization (119 FTE) is responsible for the sales of our entire, mostly preventive veterinary portfolio to veterinarians and wholesalers in the region. The organization is made up of talented experts working in different fields, such as sales, marketing, market access, digital, commercial management, veterinary science and are divided between two offices in Boxmeer (NL) and Brussels (B). United by a shared passion, they strive to make our medicines, vaccines, services, and solutions accessible to animals and the caring individuals overseeing them. Together, they form the foundation of our leading position in the market. Our Livestock Business Unit (25 FTE) focuses on providing preventive products, solutions, and services to veterinarians and farmers in the Benelux market for Swine and Poultry and is also responsible for our Identification business. We are currently looking for a VSL Swine to strengthen our team.

Purpose of the role

Reporting into the VSL Lead, you are primarily responsible for providing technical support to veterinary practices with customized solutions for complex respiratory, intestinal, and reproductive disorders in swine production. This role also encompasses support in farm management, dynamic immunity disorders, and food safety. Key tasks include offering technical assistance through pathogen-specific analyses, monitoring farm health status, and addressing specific health issues when needed. The liaison works closely with the Commercial Swine Team to develop services and audit tools, and to implement systems for automatic data processing from field analyses. This role plays a critical part in driving customer success, business growth and innovation by managing high-value relationships, leading strategic technical initiatives and working closely with cross functional teams, especially Sales and Marketing. This role bridges technical excellence with commercial insight. By combining deep customer engagement with technical leadership and sales collaboration, it directly impacts revenue growth, customer retention and product innovation.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for veterinary practices in BENELUX, offering tailored solutions for complex swine disorders and farm management issues.
  • Own and develop relationships with strategic customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their business goals and challenges.
  • Lead in the planning, execution and delivery of complex technical initiatives that align with customer needs and company priorities.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and measurable outcomes that support both short-and long term business objectives.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities, influence account strategy and co-develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Serve as the technical voice in Marketing Strategy and customer engagements, contributing to proposals, product presentations and negotiations.
  • Provide support and ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Partner with the swine team to provide technical input for service development and data processing systems.
  • Apply company procedures and BENELUX legislation in communications with customers.
  • Accurately use the customer database to maintain up-to-date information.
  • Regularly educate the Swine Team and present information to stakeholders in the swine production chain.
  • Oversee or conduct local medical or research studies as needed.
  • Control technical information, write scientific articles for local press, and interact with international swine veterinary associations and experts.

Your profile

  • University degree in veterinary medicine. Preferably with PhD or relevant specialization in area of the required species specialization.
  • High level of project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, anticipate, align actions with long term goals and make data-informed decisions that drive business impact.
  • Satisfactory practical experience obtained in veterinary practice of relevant species or in scientific organization or technical services.
  • High level of diplomacy, negotiating skills, and constructive assertiveness in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of presentation and scientific writing skills.
  • High level of knowledge of markets and products.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Dutch and English in excellent written and verbal command.
