About this role

As the Marketing Director Netherlands you’ll be the driving purpose behind our brand, growth and customer engagement strategies across one of our most important European markets. As a key member of the Country Management Team, you will own the full marketing agenda—developing and executing the local marketing strategy in alignment with the overall Country Commercial Strategy, managing a high-performing team and accelerating our brand in a fiercely competitive space.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role within both our Marketing and Senior Leadership Communities — suited to someone who leads with purpose, embraces change with agility, and inspires others through collaboration, empathy, and vision

Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Amsterdam office & 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer

These are some of the key components to the position:

  • Manage the end-to-end marketing strategy for the Netherlands, covering brand, performance, CRM, partnerships, and local activations. Working closely with the country director and other functional colleagues in the MT to ensure the marketing plans fit the country growth strategy.
  • Inspire and develop a team of driven marketers—coaching them to lead, grow, and win. Your team plays an important role in developing and implementing local marketing strategies and initiatives in the Netherlands, delivering increased brand awareness, brand preference and loyalty as well as driving business impact on orders, frequency and new customers.
  • Take ownership of market-level commercial planning, execution and budget accountability. From overseeing and driving the media strategy and planning (including TV, OLV, Social Media, PR etc) to driving brand ‘availability’ through our last-mile visibility.
  • Champion customer insight and data to inform strategic choices and commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global specialist and local teams including ensuring smooth operations with Sales, CS and Logistics and that commercial activities and value offers with key partners are being supported from a marketing perspective; maximizing impact.
  • Drive innovation in how we connect with consumers, elevating our position as the go-to food delivery platform.

What will you bring to the team?

  • A senior marketing leader with a track record of success in fast-paced, consumer-focused industries—ideally a combination of packaged goods, retail and / or e-commerce.
  • Committed and entrepreneurial: you’re not just maintaining performance—you’re looking to outperform and set new benchmarks in both results and the ‘how’
  • Highly collaborative: you build strong relationships and know how to influence in a matrixed organization.
  • You embrace change, seek better ways of doing things, and engage others through collaboration and purpose
  • Agile and action-oriented: you can pivot fast, adapt to shifting priorities and manage through ambiguity.
  • Deep understanding and experience in all aspects of marketing and experience in managing a cross-functional marketing team, participation in a Management Team
  • Experience in development and execution of marketing campaigns, marketing channel management incl. TV, Performance Marketing, CRM and related budget decisions
  • A collaborative and inspiring leader with exceptional communication skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are an advantage
