Join Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam as Assistant Night Manager

As the Assistant Night Manager, you are responsible for the overall operation of the hotel during the overnight hours. You will oversee all aspects of guest service, manage a team of night receptionists and auditors, and ensure the safety and security of all guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Manage staff schedules for night shifts.
  • Conduct training sessions for new and existing team members on hotel policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Identify training needs and develop plans for individual team member growth and development.
  • Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline and improve operational efficiency and guest service.

Guest Service:

  • Provide exceptional guest service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints professionally and courteously.
  • Oversee night room service operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Operations Management:

  • Perform administrative tasks, including shift reports, incident reports, and daily logs.
  • Conduct safety checks throughout the hotel to ensure guest and staff safety.
  • Act as the primary point of contact in case of emergencies, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, and security incidents.
  • Oversee the hotel's evacuation procedures in case of emergency.

  • Guest-oriented: Possess a strong customer service focus with a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Representative: Represent the hotel brand professionally and positively to all guests and staff.
  • Independent: Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible: Demonstrate strong accountability and a high level of responsibility for the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
  • Front Office Experience: Prior experience in hotel front office operations, including guest registration, check-in/check-out procedures, and reservations.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Ability to effectively identify and resolve guest issues and operational challenges.
  • Organizational & Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Desired Skills:

  • Supervisory Experience: Prior experience supervising a team of employees.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using hotel property management systems (PMS) and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of Hotel Operations: In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, including housekeeping, maintenance, and security procedures.
