We are seeking a natural leader and new business developer to join our team as Sales Manager EMEA, driving our sales efforts across the region with energy and enthusiasm. This role offers the opportunity to lead a small sales team, develop strategic sales plans, and build strong relationships with key clients and partners. We are looking for an individual who proofs through leadership and sales excellence that they can grow into a Global Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the sales team across the EMEA region, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve sales targets. Additionally, personally handle large deals and partnerships.
  • Drive and manage a portfolio of new business opportunities, ensuring growth and expansion within the EMEA region
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, pipelines, and forecasts to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Market & Clients, Product Management, Tech & Data and the Legal & Finance team to ensure alignment and maximise business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and market developments, leveraging this knowledge to identify new business opportunities.
  • Drive the IBFD brand, ensuring a deep understanding of our services and value proposition.
  • Attendance of market specific conferences/events

Requirements:

  • BSc. or MSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in negotiating, closing and maintaining longstanding agreements.
  • Comfortable talking in a technical environment; the language of technology is not foreign, even if not a hands-on expert.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales plans.
  • Experience in the SaaS or publishing industry is a plus. Familiarity with subscription-based selling and with processes to deliver content- and data solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • International exposure and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Based in the Netherlands.
