Lead Data Lifecycle Management at ASML

The increasing data needs in the ASML ecosystem present both challenges and opportunities, such as enabling operations, enhancing decision-making, and improving product performance. Data creation and usage involve everyone in this process. The Chief Data Office (CDO) aims to support ASML in utilizing data for cost-efficient and sustainable growth.

The Lead Data Lifecycle Management will be part of the CDO Data Management team, reporting directly to the Head of CDO Data Management. This role involves tackling cross-sector business challenges and collaborating with Data Analytics and Platforms teams.

Role and responsibilities

ASML is enhancing its Data Lifecycle Management to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. The Lead Data Lifecycle Management will create policies for managing data from inception to deletion. This key role is vital to our data strategy, carrying significant responsibility and influence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing data lifecycle management policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align Data Lifecycle practices
  • Monitoring compliance with data management policies and standards
  • Providing expertise and guidance on data management best practices
  • Lead and develop the Data Lifecycle Management team.

Education and experience

We are looking for a leader with experience in creating and implementing data policies, and with strong analytical skills to manage the complexities of data management. The candidate should be capable of aligning Data Lifecycle practices with ASML's objectives and fostering a data-driven approach within our organization. Qualifications include:

  • You have 10+ years’ work experience in a data management related roles
  • You hold a Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Exceptional ability to understand complex data management concepts and analyze data-related challenges.
  • Keen decision-making skills and confidence in making impactful decisions.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically and align data management practices with organizational goals.

Other information

This position involves collaborating with the entire CDO team and engaging with stakeholders at various levels within the organization.

The CDO combined internal and external workforce spans a direct global team that serves across ASML. Our data enabling services include data management and governance, data and analytics platforms, data analytics delivery and AI services enablement, all to serve transversally to empower higher levels of data maturity at the ASML ecosystem, in strong partnership with the organization.
