Lead the Future of AI Consulting & Services at Backbase

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AI Consulting and Services Group in alignment with Backbase's overall business objectives
  • Attract top talent in the field of AI and consulting to build and scale a high-performing team of AI experts, consultants, and data professionals
  • Inspire and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation

AI Expertise & Innovation

  • Leverage deep expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science to design impactful solutions for clients
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring Backbase remains at the forefront of AI innovation

Client Engagement & Consulting

  • Collaborate with C-level executives to identify opportunities where AI can drive measurable business value
  • Provide strategic advisory services to clients, helping them define high-value AI use cases and successfully adopt AI technologies
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies with clear ROI

Program Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of AI projects, ensuring seamless integration into client processes and achieving desired outcomes
  • Manage large-scale transformation programs involving AI adoption and implementation

Product Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Teams to productize high demand use cases (transaction disputes, financial advice, behavioral product recommendations, intelligent document processing, credit decisions, loan underwriting)

Business Development

  • Collaborate with our Sales & Marketing teams to drive go-to-market strategies for Backbase’s AI services, identifying opportunities to expand offerings and secure new business

Who you are

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in consulting roles with a focus on technology, data, or AI strategy
  • Proven track record in global consulting firms or leading enterprise-level AI initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of AI/GenAI ecosystems, machine learning frameworks, agentic AI platforms and data analytics tools
  • Experience designing and deploying scalable AI solutions, preferably in financial services
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders (C-suite level) to define strategic priorities and deliver impactful solutions
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience building high-performing teams in dynamic environments
