To be successful as an Enterprise Architect, you have proven advanced experience in information technology, computer science or equivalent. You have vast working experience in leading business transformative change, preferably in HR space, with an HR tech background. We believe you have a minimum of 5 years of experience from product and engineering organisations in a leading position and a minimum of 10 years of experience in building internet-facing distributed systems. Likewise, a proven Enterprise Architecture responsibility stretching across larger areas in a company with global stretch and worked with senior leadership.

  • Drive and influence common purpose with senior stakeholders up to board level
  • Work outcome-led and drive architecture change for a domain setting its strategic direction managing trade offs with common purpose
  • Extensive knowledge in developing architectures for massive internet scale
  • Solve deep technical problems and with extensive digital transformation experience, drive the needed architecture shift to meet digital opportunities and enable new business models
  • Lead and motivate teams of technologists
  • Vast experience having led product engineering and architecture teams

As a person, you are a good collaborator, have strong leadership skills – able to actively lead and drive architecture work and collaborate with diverse senior stakeholders. You pay attention to detail and actively acquire new knowledge, skills and champions new methods to improve performance in deliveries. You possess knowledge across a range of different technology stacks, ideally applied within a retail sector, and can change direction based on new ideas, approaches and strategies.

Your responsibilities

As an Enterprise Architect, you are part of the Enterprise Architecture leadership team and will be part of developing the technology landscape across IKEA and setting the course with strategic direction, principles and standards that enable guidance for the organisation. You will be responsible for the people and culture domain, where you will lead large-scale transformation programs to transform our HR landscape with its architecture and people, managing a team of technology architects. Your personality allows you to manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders up to the board level to ensure reaching both short- and long-term goals.

In this role, you are:

  • Responsible for defining the strategic architecture, legacy coexistence and where capabilities should be implemented to ensure end-to-end flows and avoid costs in duplicate implementations
  • Lead and develop the strategic architecture perspective on roadmap and prioritizations of the domain work and its consequences in order to reach the company’s strategic outcomes
  • Drive and develop the Enterprise Architecture practices and apply the architecture guardrails through the product and engineering teams in order to empower them at scale
  • Drive, lead and resolve the big and hard problems that are common across teams in the IKEA value chain
  • Resolve architecture topics in significant landscape changes affecting the sub-domain
  • Provide the architecture perspective on roadmap and prioritizations in the area, its consequences and impact to reach the Sub-domain strategies and outcomes
  • Lead, inspire, develop and manage co-workers in order to secure a high-performing team and promote growth
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Digital Experience leaders to drive transformative change to meet the strategic outcomes
  • It is preferred if you have experience within a retail environment.
