Are you an experienced customer-focused, creative problem solver with a sharp eye for international retail opportunities? Do you love turning strategy into action and bringing brands to life across different markets? Then we’re looking for you! Join our close-knit team—where collaboration drives everything we do, and having fun while delivering great work is part of our DNA.

This is what you will do

  1. Develop strategic annual marketing plans for our key international retail accounts, working closely with our Brand Ambassadors (sales team) to align goals and execution.

  2. Create and coordinate trade marketing activities for both indoor and outdoor product launches and shopfloor concepts that bring the brand to life, ensuring brand consistency across diverse international markets.

  3. Manage all retailer communications via our global online business platform—ensuring materials like retail binders, color binders, fabric binders, photography, press releases, and manuals are accessible, relevant and up to date. And also, via monthly retail newsletters.

  4. Project management for collaborations and licensed partnerships, from identifying and proactively reaching out to potential partners, to managing the full process from concept through execution.

  5. Grow and engage our international B2B network (interior professionals and gifting clients) through targeted campaigns, regular mailings, and occasional events. You’ll also develop and execute a LinkedIn strategy to reach out to new contacts, strengthen existing relationships, and position Fatboy as a professional, design-forward brand within the global furniture and interiors industry.

  6. Project management for pop-up showrooms in different countries—scouting locations, arranging logistics, travel and accommodations, and coordinating with venues.

Who are you

✔️ You bring 4–8 years of experience in retail or trade marketing—ideally in lifestyle, design, or premium consumer brands. Experience in design furniture or similar sectors is a plus, but not essential.
✔️ You’re not just independent—you’re a self-starter. You know how to spot opportunities, initiate projects, build the right team around them, and lead them through to execution.
✔️ You have a strategic mindset, but you’re hands-on and thrive in environments where you can make things happen.
✔️ You know how to translate brand strategy into strong, actionable retail concepts, always with the customer and the retailer in mind. Tailored to different international markets and aligned with global goals.
✔️ You’re a clear communicator and natural collaborator, able to engage with internal teams and external partners at all levels, across different countries and cultures.
✔️ You’re content-savvy, confident briefing, reviewing, and delivering materials that stay true to the brand.
✔️ You have strong project management skills, juggling multiple initiatives while keeping timelines and quality in check.
✔️ You’re confident using platforms like LinkedIn to connect with professionals, grow networks, and position Fatboy as a leading, design-forward brand in the international interiors and furniture space.
✔️ You’re comfortable engaging at all levels of an organization, from day-to-day team members to C-level stakeholders.
✔️ You work with both data and instinct, making informed decisions and continuously looking to improve.
✔️ You’re flexible, with occasional availability for retailer visits or events outside standard office hours. ✔️ Ideally, you have an affinity with design, and experience or a strong interest in premium or upscale consumer brands—especially in areas like furniture, interiors, or lifestyle products.
✔️ You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English. Knowledge of other languages, such as German or French, is a plus but not essential.
✔️ You're ideally based within reasonable commuting distance of Den Bosch, where our team meets at least 2–3 days a week. We value in-person collaboration (and yes, the coffee helps too!).

What do we offer you?

A salary that matches your experience and the responsibilities of the position. We believe in fair remuneration: we determine your salary based on what you bring, and we are transparent about this in our conversation. Also; a pleasant and highly collegial working environment where your success is key.

  • 🌍 Working in a dynamic, international company with an informal working atmosphere.
  • 📈 Room for personal growth and development.
  • 🏖️ Our hybrid way of working and unlimited leave scheme;
  • 🏋️‍♂️ In-house sports classes and lunch provided by Fatboy at the office;
