Within our Corporate Banking Division at the Amsterdam headquarters, we currently have a challenging opportunity for an ambitious and driven professional. We are looking for a new colleague to join the Trade Finance team in the role of:
Account Manager – Trade Finance
As Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with corporate clients engaged in international trade. You will provide tailored trade finance solutions, coordinate transactions end-to-end, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- To be in charge of his/her own customer portfolio of corporate transactions, contribute to develop long lasting customer relations together with Relationship Manager (RM)
- Communicate directly with customers, initiate and follow daily transactions through relevant applications in order to complete process within the deadline in a correct manner
- Issue and track cash and non-cash credit utilizations (loans, LCs, LGs), collections, outgoing payments, FX and time deposits, and any other operations in line with Bank’s principles and procedures
- Keep, update and file all documentation under transactions in line with their confidentiality and hand them over to related party if needed
- Contribute to the preparation of credit proposals by giving his/her feedback to the RM, particularly for the limits and sub-limits to be proposed
- Identify and communicate to the RM and/or his/her direct manager any element of risk, credit term and/or compliance discrepancy on a timely manner
- Liaise with other units in the bank and develop & maintain a good working relationship with all relevant departments to proceed the transactions on time and correctly according to the Bank’s procedure
- Assisting in for preparation of procedures, manuals and policies to provide document record and standardization in work flows
- Provide advice on service improvements, both externally and internally in order to increase quality of transaction process
- Responsible for following incoming calls and correspondence, prioritizes and responds as appropriate in accordance with cut off times and targets
- Review periodical and statistical reports or documents daily basis, assist preparing of new reports requested by management and share with related parties if necessary
- Participate project studies and perform assigned tasks by the management according to defined objectives
- Follow up compliance, ORM mandatory trainings, pay attention to regulatory requirements defined by 2nd line of Defense
- Support other team members, back up to other TM members and provide assistance in the department
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- University degree or equivalent level
- Have minimum 3 years of work experience, preferably having being worked in a multinational environment in marketing, sales or finance fields
- Results oriented
- Be able to work both personally and within a team
- Willing to take responsibility and initiative
- Have strong communication and social skills, energy and enthusiasm
- Have a good command of both written & spoken English
- Have a good knowledge of all MS Office applications
- Knowledge of bank products and services and familiarity with the banking systems
- Presentation and communications skills and ability to actively plan and co-ordinate customer relationships
Preferred
- Minimum 1 years work experience in corporate banking and trade finance transactions
- Another European language and/or Chinese, Russian language skills
