You and your job

The world of Payments is evolving rapidly. The Pay & Receive Now area develops and maintains all payment methods involving a 'card' for both private and business customers. This includes physical cards and digital payment solutions such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Fitbit Pay. We manage the sales, delivery, and servicing of these payment methods, as well as the processing of transactions through our IT systems.

As a Tech Lead, you have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by guiding the Pay & Receive Now area within the Payments & Savings Tribe. You are technically responsible for the development, improvement, and delivery of journeys related to card products. Together with your fellow Tech Lead, you will oversee the IT of 10 squads, working closely with product management to shape Rabobank’s digital ambitions.

Your DevOps teams are integral to the Cards area, focusing on delivering excellent card sales and service journeys for our clients. At Rabobank, we aim to stay close to our customers and meet their needs by developing and enhancing digital propositions. We offer our services through the app, Rabobank Online, customer support, and third-party platforms such as Pay-in-OV, Picnic, and Albert Heijn. As Cards are part of our critical payment systems, ensuring 24/7 availability and top-tier cybersecurity is essential.

Beyond maintaining continuity, we strive for impactful changes that benefit our customers and significantly boost the bank’s revenue. The payments domain is dynamic and continuously evolving. As a Tech Lead, you ensure your teams perform optimally by removing obstacles and guiding them toward becoming high-performing units. You foster a great workplace and an inspiring engineering culture. Our engineers—working flexibly from home, the office in Utrecht, or nearshore in Romania—are the foundation of our success.
