Release Train Engineer / Leader - Lifecycle Management at Philips

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, global engineering environment where quality, agility, and collaboration are critical?

Join Philips as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) and lead the Life Cycle Management Agile Release Train (LCM ART) supporting our Azurion 7 platform—one of the most advanced Image Guided Therapy systems in the world.

Your role:

  • You’ll lead the successful performance of the LCM ART by driving predictability, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across distributed teams in the Netherlands, India, and China.
  • In this high-impact role, you will deliver committed Program Increment (PI) objectives by fostering transparency, resolving impediments, and promoting a culture of accountability and quality.
  • You’ll embed Philips’ Hybrid Agile Model and coach Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and leaders on best practices in Lean-Agile execution and Release on Demand strategies.
  • Responsibilities include managing value flow using Agile planning tools, maintaining iteration and PI calendars, tracking execution of features and capabilities, and facilitating key Agile ceremonies such as ART Syncs, PI Planning, and Inspect & Adapt events.
  • You’ll report regularly to stakeholders, lead the ART data quality dashboard efforts, and closely align with Epic Owners and Product Management on prioritization.
  • This role is part of the Mechatronics Development Cluster (MDC) within the Image Guided Therapy Systems (IGTS) business and reports to the Head of LCM. You’ll be a member of the RTE Sync team and act as a bridge across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • From enhancing Agile maturity to solving time-critical quality issues in our installed base, this is an opportunity to lead with purpose and make a global impact in healthcare innovation.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have 10+ years of experience in a professional engineering environment, with a proven track record in cross-functional team leadership and Agile delivery.
  • You are SAFe Agile certified, with strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Experience with DevOps and Backlog Management tools is a plus.
  • You hold a Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • You are quality- and improvement-driven, experienced in regulated industries such as medical devices (IEC60601), automotive, or aerospace, and bring maturity, cultural awareness, and a proactive mindset.
