Quality LAB QMS Manager at Philips

Quality LAB QMS Manager
As a Quality LAB QMS Manager (QLAB QMS Manager), you will play a crucial role in supporting the Quality Laboratory Manager with all Quality Management-related activities. The Quality LAB, an independent internal Test Laboratory for all our medical devices, is IEC/ISO 17025 compliant and audited as a Corporate Test Facility (CTF) by certifying agencies. A key focus for 2025 will be preparing for accreditation by the Dutch Accreditation Council.

Your role:

  • Ensure that Quality LAB testing procedures for Philips’ medical devices meet the latest international standards, contributing to the safety of patients, healthcare workers, and products worldwide.
  • The Quality LAB is a small, independent, internal Test Laboratory within Philips. You will collaborate closely with the Quality LAB Manager, test engineers, Philips’ QMS managers, and certifying agencies to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • You are responsible to ensure all procedures within QMS of Quality LAB meet the IEC/ISO17025:2017 requirements and support the laboratory manager in realization of accreditation by Dutch accreditation council.
  • You drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the departmental efficiency.
  • You monitor quality indicators and report to management.
  • You lead program(s) focused on implementing new or updated procedures to expand the Quality LAB’s scope.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems.
  • Proven expertise with ISO9001 or ISO17025 is required, knowledge of ISO13485 and medical regulatory requirements is highly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and apply new standards or updates into revised procedures.
  • Experience in hosting audits with external bodies or serving as an internal lead auditor.
  • Fluent English proficiency (both spoken and written).
  • Confident, take initiatives, strong decision-making skills and excellent communication skills.
