Technical Editor bij Lely

As a Technical Editor at Lely, you ensure that our service technicians around the world have the right technical information at the right time. You develop clear, practical, and directly applicable content to support technicians in troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of our innovative milking robot, the “Astronaut.”

Your primary focus will be creating structured troubleshooting workflows in our service app and composing our periodic technical newsletter.

You also play a key role in maintaining and updating technical documentation—whether driven by user feedback or your own initiative. To do this, you’ll collaborate with colleagues from product development and technical support to collect input, analyze it, and translate it into valuable content. Your main user in mind? The field technician who needs to act quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain troubleshooting workflows in our service app tailored to the daily practice of technicians.
• Collect, analyze, and convert technical input into content in collaboration with engineers, service technicians, and product owners.
• Present technical documentation consistently and accessibly.
• Contribute to the improvement of content processes and enhance user-friendliness for service technicians.

Wat is jouw ervaring?

You are proactive and result-oriented, and you take pleasure in converting the knowledge of technical specialists into material that seamlessly meets the needs of our technicians. You work with precision, in a structured manner, and understand the importance of consistent documentation.

Furthermore, you bring the following:

• A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO level).
• Proven experience in structuring technical information and creating user-oriented content.
• A result-driven mindset: you work in a structured way and are able to meet deadlines while delivering the right outcomes.
• Excellent English writing and speaking skills (additional languages are a plus).
• You are currently living in the Netherlands and have a valid work permit.
