Would you like to contribute to the development of high-quality infant formula products for the brand Friso? And would you like to apply your technology knowledge in our next generation infant formula? Then we are looking for you!

Within FrieslandCampina Innovation, the Friso China team develops new and improved products and processes for infants and toddlers for focus countries of Greater China (CN & HK), Rest of the World (ROW) (MX, GR, MY & VN), and Cross Border E-commerce (CBEC). For this vulnerable target group quality is critical. As a Junior Product Developer, you will participate in new product development, compliance, and optimization projects. In multidisciplinary project teams you create and implement innovative and improved products for the global Friso brand.

We challenge you to bring in your expertise to develop our next generation nutritional concepts and to make the connection between consumer needs and our capabilities in order to deliver maximum value. It is a plus if you are familiar with the functionality of the infant formula products we develop, the needs associated, and that you know how processing affects product properties.

What we ask

• Master's degree in Food Technology or Chemistry
• 1-2 years experience with NPD, preferably in food or infant or medical nutrition area.
• Experience with recipe design and knowledge of product-process interactions in powdered products production
• Experience with SAP PLM is a plus.
• Demonstratable understanding of data processing and statistics
• Good communication and presentation skills in English
• You have an open attitude, are analytical with a quality focus and work well both independently and within a team.
• You are customer focused and are able to act with speed and decisiveness to achieve the best results.
• You take responsibility for your work and are continuously looking for new opportunities to make a change.

Vacancy description

• Participate in New Product Development projects under guidance.
• Build and share know-how and vision in the field of infant & toddler nutrition.
• Use and build a stakeholder network, both internal within FC R&D and external.
• Plan, prepare and carry out lab, pilot and production scale trials in close collaboration with pilot plant and Supply Chain and analyse, interpret, and report results to key stakeholders.
• Analyse and interpret results both on lab/pilot scale as well as factory scale and report these with an academic style.

Team Details

You will be part of the Friso China cluster within the business group Specialized Nutrition, located in Wageningen, The Netherlands. Your team, Friso China, consists of 10 other product developers of different nationalities. Within this team, you are exposed to work in key innovation projects for business group Specialized Nutrition for Friso China and ROW with a multidisciplinary team and stakeholders, including marketing, regulatory, supply chain, QA, development, compliance team, raw material specification team.
