You can make your mark at Boskalis as a Tender Manager for Boskalis Heavy Marine Transport! As Tender Manager you are responsible for managing the entire Tender Process. As Tender Manager you form part of the team responsible for the Sales & Tendering activities for our Heavy Marine Transport business unit. Your job starts with taking on a request from a client, developing a win-strategy together with the commercial managers all the way up to clarifying your proposal to BU and Division management and negotiating the contract with the Client. Furthermore, you are the driving force to motivate and stimulate the specialists in your Tender Team.

You will work together with our inhouse experts to create and deliver sometimes complex, tender deliverables for high demanding clients from the Oil & Gas Industry as well as clients in the fast-growing Renewable Energy market.

Your responsibilities as Tender Manager:

  • Ensuring that the Tender, including but not limited to the costs aspect, schedule and risk analysis, is drawn up in accordance with all requirements of the client and Boskalis.
  • Determine the Tender strategy to match the client requirements in consultation with the commercial team and business unit management, executing the strategy in the Tender Deliverables, monitor the tender progress and performance and undertake corrective actions as required.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines (legal, SHEQ, finance, planning) and business units within Boskalis to make sure all technical and cost aspects are addressed, and risks are mitigated.
  • Taking the lead in the contractual and legal assessment of the Tender requirements, including contract review, local compliance and financial impact.
  • Managing and guiding the tender team, so that they can perform to the best of their abilities in the tender.
  • Coordinating with the commercial manager which can be based in our offices in Papendrecht, Houston, Singapore, Shanghai and Korea.
  • Participating in negotiations with the client about the price and contractual conditions as well as coordinating and maintaining contact with all internal and external parties involved.

If a Tender has been successful and the contract has been awarded, you will officially hand over the project to the Project Management team.

  • A Bachelor or Master level in a relevant education for the marine- or offshore industry;
  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the offshore industry and a proven track record in Tender Management or Project Management;
  • Both technical and commercial skills and know-how with regards to the marine- or offshore industry;
  • Experience with risk and contract management;
  • Result driven personality with a positive and international mindset;
  • An excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
