The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Integrations at Carv, you will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of integrations with applicant tracking systems (ATS), VoIP providers, and other external platforms. You will contribute to building solutions that help our clients automate and optimize data flow in their recruitment processes.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys solving data architecture challenges and building reliable integrations that support our platform's automation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Development and Architecture

  • Design and develop complex integrations with strategic third-party systems, including ATS and VoIP providers.
  • Develop and maintain robust APIs and webhooks to support high-volume data exchange.
  • Design and implement data transformation processes to ensure seamless data interoperability.
  • Implement monitoring strategies and resolve integration issues.

Scalability, Reliability, and Performance Optimization

  • Build efficient data transfer and synchronization solutions to support large-scale data volumes.
  • Contribute to the scaling of integration infrastructure to support a growing partner ecosystem.
  • Develop integration workflows within sophisticated containerized environments.
  • Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools to build and optimize high-performance integration services.

Advanced Automation and Deployment

  • Contribute to the implementation of advanced CI/CD pipelines for automated integration deployments.
  • Adhere to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and management of observability and logging systems for integration monitoring.

Collaboration and Technical Growth

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align integration efforts with business goals.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical growth.
  • Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies to continuously improve integration capabilities.

Job requirements

Extensive Backend Development Expertise

  • 6+ years of extensive experience in backend development with a proven track record of building complex integrations and high-throughput data pipelines.

Advanced System Integration Skills

  • Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Significant experience with multiple programming languages and object-oriented design patterns.
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.

Advanced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expertise

  • Hands-on experience with a range of GCP services and cloud-native development.
  • Working knowledge of Firebase and Firestore, including use cases and optimization techniques.

Cloud-Native Development and Automation

  • Experience with designing and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools.

Strategic Vision for Recruitment Technology and AI

  • Interest in driving AI-driven innovation and automation in the recruitment industry.
