Credit and Collections Internship Opportunity

This position will provide you with the fundamentals for a successful career in Finance and Accounting, expertise in financial processes and systems for all lines of business, capability to monitor metrics and develop reporting tools, subject matter knowledge on Credit & Collections.

The role

As a Credit & Collections Intern, you will be part of the Credit Controlling and Collection Team, that is responsible for the order to cash process within 16 different entities. Just like every other team member, you will be working on reporting interfaces, direct debit checks, client contact, strategic projects, process improvement and more.

As an active member of the team we also expect you to provide critical feedback on tasks and processes. Such as investigation and analysis of credit risk, together with recommending credit limits on new and existing customers. And assist in reconciling receivables as assigned and resolve open issues and other duties and projects as assigned.

What You Will Need to Succeed

We are looking for a student who:

  • Is good with numbers, possesses sound communication skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Pursues Finance, Accounting or related studies.
  • Is fluent in English and any other European language.
  • Is organized and open to feedback. This will help the hired student in his/her daily activities.
  • Is eager to learn, proactive and a multitasker.
  • Is knowledgeable of different software programs from Microsoft as these tools are extensively used. i.e: Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word.

  • Our office is located next to Hoofddorp, Netherlands train station (25 minutes from Amsterdam by train). This position's location is Hybrid format, with the possibility to work a minimum of two days from the office and the others remote.

Some practical aspects

  • You are available to start at the beginning of August or September 2025 and have the possibility to work with us for 6 months
  • Please note this is a full-time work experience internship (40 hours a week). Therefore, it does not qualify as a thesis or graduation internship, or as a part-time assignment.
  • You need to be enrolled as a student towards the attaining of a degree to apply. If you are not a European national, you will need to provide an approved Nuffic agreement.
  • Our office is located in Hoofddorp, next to the train station (25 minutes from Amsterdam by train).
