At DENHAM we're looking for a Credit Controller to join our team.

About the job

As Credit Controller you will be responsible for recovering any receivables that is owed from wholesale customers. You will be responsible for all external and internal aspects of DENHAM’S international credit control process, working in close cooperation with our After-sales, Jr. Business Controller, Sales team and (inter)national external agents. You will standardize and improve procedures and set up reports linked to our ERP system. You will be part of the Logistics and Operations team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keeping daily contact by phone and e-mail with our (inter)national customers regarding outstanding (overdue) invoices, account statements, refunds, dunning letters and payment plans

  • Making sure that DSO (days sales outstanding) is as low as possible

  • Being a first and main contact person for our credit insurance agency

  • Maximizing credit insurance coverage including applying for and updating credit limits and deposit the quarter revenue

  • Create & update customer (prospect) accounts

  • Create & post manual sales invoices and sales credit memo’s

  • Releasing blocked orders & customer accounts

  • Allocating and reconciling incoming customer payments in our Navision system

  • Monthly/Yearly Closing – Preparing agent commissions, Intercompany account statements and consignment stock report

  • Support preparations interim- & yearly audit

  • Support Operations team with (customer) data requests and return shipments

Qualifications

  • Financial education

  • 0-3 years’ experience

  • A proactive, enthusiastic and vigilant attitude and no 9-to-5 mentality

  • Strong communicator: Fluent in Dutch and English

  • High sense of responsibility

  • Good understanding of ERP software and knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Excel knowledge is a must

The Credit Controller has to be able to work in a fast growing and ever changing environment. This means that sometimes it is necessary to work extra hours, but it is not the norm. During the starting period the Jr. Business Controller will support and coach actively with the processes.
