Key Account Manager, Benelux

This role is a hybrid position

Some roles require an office while others may be done remotely. This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Hilversum office location.

Sonos Benelux is looking for a dynamic and ambitious Key Account Manager to help drive us towards our mission to inspire the world to listen better. The role will include, among others, managing multiple highly valued national Retail Partners and our AVS Distribution Partner.

Reporting to the Commercial Director - Benelux, you will be part of a team of 5 account managers, supported by marketing, training, operations, finance and legal colleagues. Your portfolio will have a relevant share in EMEA and requires constant focus on new household growth, best in class partner relationships and exceptional change management skills aligned to company & regional strategy.

The ideal candidate has a strong Commercial and Marketing know-how and is used to working in a decentralized matrix organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the relationships with Key Accounts and our Distributor to deliver against team/cluster/corporate goals.
  • Build and execute an annual account strategy and business plan using MBR’s/QBR’s with the accounts to check in on progress.
  • Build and execute marketing and sales activation strategies for your accounts in line with our product/promotional roadmap.
  • Manage the commercial terms & conditions package with the account to ensure all KPI’s are being met, rebates and marketing funds are appropriately applied and processed.
  • Work closely with the retail channel marketing team to ensure a flawless execution of our in-store experience, promotions, new product launches and account specific initiatives.
  • Work closely with the content & training team to ensure both store and online training plans are built and executed in collaboration with the account in line with the annual account strategy document.
  • Have full accountability of sell-through/sell-in forecasts /household acquisition targets, inventory levels and availability measures working closely with the Operations team (planning and fulfilment) internally and the merchandising teams externally to achieve the optimum result across all metrics.
  • Management of external distributor account managers team
  • Develop potential new channels and partnerships aligned to our regional strategy, to find new routes to our target customer. Clearly articulate the opportunity internally to gain support.
  • Run and participate in projects to professionalize the processes, tools and systems linked to our business.
  • Ensure you have a deep understanding of our company strategy, our brand and our values. Apply this knowledge to everything you do.

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum degree in higher professional education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of customer facing roles within the wider consumer industry, especially building and managing key relationships in retail.
  • Very strong analytical skills and commercial acumen required, including extensive knowledge of Google Sheets / Slides (or equivalent).
  • Must have a proven track record of Data Management / Tools & Systems knowledge.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Ability to travel to Account locations in Benelux on average 20% up to 60% of the time
  • Qualified applicants must be able to work from the Hilversum office 1 day per week. For applicants that live within a 65km radius of the office, Sonos requests presence in the office for 2 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad professional background within Sales, Product/Category management or Marketing.
  • Proven track record of building relationships at senior level: Buyer / Head of Category / Category Director.
  • Experience in Salesforce PRM and Tableau reporting is a plus
  • Experience in E-Commerce is a plus
