Internship Technical Product Development

YOUR TASKS

What will you do?

• Will be involved in all phases of the product development cycle, including testing; how to fit and achieve a fit for purpose product for all HKM product types and working closely together with Buying, Design teams and the HKM suppliers.
• Helping to send technical comments out to our suppliers.
• Assisting with taking comments in weekly fitting session(s) including VC (Video Conference) calls with our international suppliers.
• Organizing and managing the weekly fit calendar in conjunction with our buying department and suppliers, in line with the seasonal critical path management.
• Measuring and monitoring the HKM fit model measurements on a weekly basis.
• After fitting sessions, compiling and sending out supplier comments with technical diagrams and photos within the required critical path time frame.
• Monitoring and completing the sample management overview.
• Assisting with other departmental tasks.

About you!

• You are passionate about product and have an eye for detail.
• You can multi-task.
• You have a strong interest and knowledge in product understanding, product fabrication & finishing.
• A proactive approach to the role is really important as we are a fast fashion company. You think outside the box, are solution driven, you have a flexible approach, and you are up for a challenge!
• You are enrolled in a Bachelor/Masters (TMO, AMFI, Saxion) level studies with the focus on fabrics, making & finishing a product.
• You will ideally have already finished your first semesters.
• You are fluent in English (written & spoken) with a keen interest in retail to complete your profile.

• Work From Home (WFH) Policy: For 40-hour internships, you are allowed to work from home up to 1 day per week, depending on the nature of your role. During onboarding, WFH days may vary to better support your learning and training.
• Internship Allowance: 450€ per month (gross) with 8+ holiday days (based on 40h/week).
• Travel Allowance: Max. 11,50€ per day (based on your travel distance), if you are not eligible for the free Student OV Chipcard.
• Additional Benefits: Access to 25% staff discount and a company laptop. Also, company gatherings like Townhalls and drinks.

Eligibility Criteria

For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in September 2025. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. Additionally, to comply with Dutch law, one of the following must apply:

• You are an EU citizen,
• You are on a Family/Partner visa, or
• You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, and you meet at least one of the following requirements: (1) The internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum, OR (2) your university is willing to sign a third-party agreement (Nuffic Agreement).
